What is a Management Council?
Management Council members are owners appointed to be in the Council to represent the collective owners’ interests and to manage the estate in which the owners own a unit or units. Up to a maximum of 14 persons can be appointed to sit in this Management Council. These Management Council members are volunteers and do not draw a salary or allowance. Often, the Council members meet once a month for larger estates and quarterly for smaller estates. During these meetings, decisions are made on the directions to take for the maintenance and upkeep of the estate, which rules to change, repairs to undertake and also the financial health of the estate is discussed.
